Diddy Reveals Details On Bad Boy/Interscope Deal

In an official press release Interscope Geffen A&M announced  the new label deal with Sean “Diddy” Combs which will include all his future music ventures and the upcoming album, Last Train To Paris, which will be the first release on the new joint venture between Bad Boy Records and Interscope. “I was at a point where I felt like I needed a fresh start. I felt like A-Rod going to the Yankees,” Combs said of his decision to move on.

In an exclusive interview from AllHipHop.com, according to Combs, the new Bad Boy label with Interscope will operate like a small boutique label, with an emphasis on signing unique talent.

“We are going to take our time with the amount of acts that we sign,” Combs stated, adding that the label will cater to “superstars.” “We want to find those very unique artists. We want to build something very special that’s not already out there”.

The current Bad Boy roster and catalog will remain with Bad Boy’s Warner Music Group (WMG) joint venture.

“Puff is a rare person in the music industry today, that can move the culture in many areas – fashion, TV, music – as well as making records. Whenever a free agent like him comes along, which is rare, you grab him.” said Jimmy Iovine Chairman of Interscope Geffen A&M.

The single “Love Come Down” will be serviced physically and digitally this week with a video, directed by Rage, to follow shortly.

I’m sure the main reason diddy join interscope was becuz they have better media relationships with mtv xxl and other publications the warner did,

Leaving the rest of the roster behind was kind of messed up, I don’t get diddy he only focus on himself,

He has a advertising/marketing company that only focuses on the products he only sells

He has a label but only spends most of the marketing money on himself

Like honestly diddy is only in business for himself. Jus call it diddy records instead of bad boy
