Method Man voluntarily turns himself into police custody on tax evasion charges according to the New York Post. Prosecutors charged the hip hop artist with failure to pay taxes for over the past  four years. A grand total of $32,799 in taxes is owed inlcuding fees,a maximum of four years in jail is possible if found guilty.

Meth blamed the ordeal on his marijuana consumption. “Myself, I’m a pothead,” he told New York’s Daily News in March. “It’s no secret. Everyone knows that. I go on the road and forget everything else.”

Jim Jones admitted to punching Jayvon Smith, a friend of Ne-Yo’s in the face at a Louis Vuitton store during a scuffle that erupted while the two were browsing the store. Jones pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor assault charge in the Dec. 22 altercation.

Defense lawyer Scott Leemon had previously said Jones didn’t start the fight. Leemon said Monday the rapper pleaded guilty because he didn’t want to risk probation — and potential touring restrictions — if convicted.

Leemon declined to comment on what started the fight. Ne-Yo told the Los Angeles-based radio station Power 106 in February that Jones and Smith “have had drama in the past.”

Jones still faces a civil suit Smith filed after the incident.

Wyclef Jean and Timberland Co. are teaming up to sell eco-friendly footwear in support of the reforestation efforts in Haiti. Timberland will also sell T-shirts designed by Haitian children and a new line of organic shirts and hats that will be sold at Wyclef concerts proceeds will go to Jean’s Yele Haiti foundation. For each pair bought $2 will go to the Yele.

The partnership is part of Timberland’s Earthkeepers program, which promotes environmental and social activism. In an interview with The Associated Press, Jean says he hopes the partnership will inspire children and put a new face on his homeland.

“We’re going to dig the holes, we’re going to plant the trees, because reforestation in Haiti is a social issue, it’s an environmental issue. These are the kinds of things I think can help re-brand the country and start to inspire kids” – Wyclef

The “TAG Signature Series Charity Challenge”, is a national election-style battle between Ludacris, Carmelo and Rob to raise money for their individual charitable foundations by encouraging consumers to purchase their TAG Signature Series scents. Each celebrity’s charitable foundation will receive ten percent of the net realized sales of their product during the Charity Challenge promotion period. The celebrity with the highest net realized sales during the Charity Challenge period will receive an additional $25,000 donation for their foundation.
